The Consultative Meeting on Better Regulation of Veterinary Products in Africa (#BetterRegulation2025) brought together Heads of National Medicines Regulatory Authorities (NMRAs), Chief Veterinary Officers (CVOs), and other key stakeholders, and provided a critical platform to align on the proposed network of regulatory authorities and associated governance structure for veterinary medicine regulation across Africa. By fostering collaboration and building consensus, the initiative lays the groundwork for enhanced access to high-quality veterinary medicines, improving livestock health, productivity, and food security across the continent.
