Challenges with Current Regulation of Livestock Health Medicines and Vaccines in Africa
In sub-Saharan Africa, bringing safe and high-quality veterinary products and vaccines to market often involves navigating complex, time-consuming, and resource-intensive regulatory processes. The project ‘Better Regulation’ is set to improve the predictability, efficiency and transparency of regulatory processes required to bring new veterinary products into market.
The project is supported by the Gates Foundation, and implemented by GALVmed, the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), the UK Veterinary Medicines Directorate (UK-VMD) and the East African Community (EAC).
